I had the absolute pleasure of getting to know L+B much better, and their amazing families at their personal and romantic wedding here in Edinburgh. You don’t need to be psychic to see why they wanted to get married at Mansfield Traquair – sometimes referred to as “Scotland’s Sistine Chapel”, the interior is riot of colour, incredible art and the most stunning features. It has to be one of the most visually impressive venues in Scotland, you never forget a wedding there!
We started the day at Prestonfield House where Louisa and all her girls spent the morning getting ready. Another impressive venue on all levels, the richness of the interior of Prestonfield compliments Mansfield Traquair perfectly.
After an epic walk down the aisle (it’s one of the best aisles!) we were treated to an emotional touching ceremony conducted by a friend of the family as well as the most stunning rendition of “My Love is Like a Red Red Rose” which entertained the guests and took advantage of the wonderful acoustics.
The day was ended with the sweet sounds of Seattle and a rousing ceilidh which got everyone onto the dance floor!
Congratulations Louisa + Ben, it couldn’t have been a more perfect day.
