Wedding at Le Petit Chateau, Northumberland
I’m absolutely delighted to present to you, Jane + Ben and their gorgeous intimate wedding at Le Petit Chateau, in Otterburn Northumberland. You might think that I had been whisked away to somewhere in the South of France, but in actual fact – a two hour drive from Edinburgh will bring you to this incredibly special little corner of the north of England.
This wedding was a treat for me – Le Petit Chateau’s dark moody palette, with drama in every corner and beautiful thoughtful French chateau detailing everywhere you looked, was a departure from my normally much brighter style! But I loved it every minute of it – maybe this is the wedding that makes me go dark and moody? Probably not, but it was still a little bit thrilling for me to have something completely different to photograph.
J+B are both successful professionals working in the advertising and music industries respectfully, so their style, taste and vision for the day was honestly incredible. I love it when a couple have such a strong vision of how they want their party to look – and both Jane + Ben didn’t want anything too structured and fussy and their personalities were everywhere on the day. Jane’s dress was a stunning Vivienne Westwood that suited her to an absolute T. Pretty sparkles paired with rustic flower crowns for the beautiful bridesmaids and their daughter Bo, made for a fun and elegant wedding party. Ben’s dapper suit was made by Stewart Christie, the oldest bespoke tailor’s in Scotland and Ben’s daughter Coco rocked a classic two piece tweed suit. The whole day was a reminder to all future brides + grooms; have all the things you love and don’t stress about the little things! It all comes together in the end.
