A Kirknewton House Stables Wedding
A wedding usually isn’t just about two people, it’s about two families coming together. Two groups of people that didn’t know each other beforehand and probably wouldn’t have met if two people in love hadn’t decided to make it official and tie the knot… and that’s a really amazing thing! Meet Hawlie + Stuart, a beautiful couple inside and out that chose to celebrate their love at Kirknewton Parish Church and Kirknewton House Stables. The Stables have long been one of my favourite venues, a complete blank canvas – perfect for the couple that knows exactly what they want and who are keen to have a hand in creating their perfect day. Not only are the Stables themselves stunning, a wonderful space to create practically any look – but the gardens surrounding it are beautifully maintained, varied and a wonderful backdrop for photography no matter what the weather. Hawlie + Stuart met at work, and I loved hearing the story of how when Stuart first noticed the newest team member Hawlie (who happened to have a desk close to the filing cabinets) he all of a sudden took an exaggerated interest in making sure all his own filing was up to date! He claimed to be pretty surprised when she agreed to that first momentous date, but that was five years ago, a house and a dog ago and they haven’t looked back. I got to meet their beloved dog Angus at their lovely Glasgow Green engagement shoot and that my first look at this little family and I totally fell in love with them all, and I know you will too. Join me in congratulating both Hawlie, Stuart and their beautiful families on creating the most gorgeous and memorable wedding day!
