The love between Gayle + Stephen is so clear, even if you’ve only just met them. They are a beautiful couple inside and out and I am so excited to photograph their wedding in April. Their wedding day is going to be a spring time rustic affair and the venue, Kirknewton House Stables lends itself to this style very well. While filing me in on the details for the day, we wandered around the stables, explored the woods (found the tractor!) and got to know each other a little better.
I love the engagement shoot for lots of reasons, one of which is so my couples come away with an understanding of the posing basics but mostly it’s a fun hour or two where you can spend time with each other and get some great photos together at the end of it. This particular shoot had the added bonus of also being at Kirknewton Stables, so not only did we have our engagement shoot, but I also got to scout the venue at the same time!
I love to do my location scout with my couples whenever possible – I can get a better understanding of their expectations for the day and it means come the wedding we aren’t wasting time trying out locations that aren’t going to work. Win win!
Anyway – back to Gayle and Stephen. I loved their attitude, up for anything and excited about their upcoming wedding. Enjoy their dreamy and romantic shoot!
