An Abden House wedding
All weddings that celebrate the love of two people are precious. But for me, there’s something extra lovely about a smaller wedding, one that puts all the focus onto the couple and the love that they share and especially one that an Abden House wedding! Ania and Paddy both knew they wanted a day that was all about their vows, and celebrating their day with those closest to them. They chose to make their promises to one another at in the City of Edinburgh Suite, at the Edinburgh Registrar’s office. This grand room is perfect for making life long promises, it has the gravitas and looks stunning in photos, especially in black and white! (My favourite…)
Wedding day whoops
There’s always one little oopsie on the wedding day and the first thing Ania said to me as I met her in Parliament Square was “I’ve forgotten my bouquet at home!!” Some brides would have panicked but Ania took everything in her stride. Her beautiful flower girl lent Ania her own bouquet, a tiny collection of white roses and baby’s breath and it was actually the most perfect thing in the world. I think this should start a trend for tiny bouquets because it was stunning and worked perfectly with Ania’s whole look. Future brides take note, things that seem like big problems at the time, usually have the ability to work out for the best!
I’ll let the rest of the photos speak for themselves – Paddy’s look of total love as Ania came down the aisle, his touching and funny speech at Abden house and all the family and friends that came from far and wide to celebrate the love of these two. It was a wonderful day! We did get a tiny bit of rain but we were able to capture these stunning images both at Parliament Square and in the gardens of Abden House. I do love a spring wedding!
